The most rewarding part of using a designer is the feeling you get every time you walk into your home. You realize that you achieved a result that absolutely would never have happened if you’d done it alone. WHY HIRE A DESIGNER?
I had to be brutally honest about the standard I could achieve and how I wanted to spend my time. I love looking at furniture and anything to do with decorating, but it is an entirely different thing to have to shop for a room full, or a home full, of furniture, rugs, art and accessories. Even if I had the time and energy to do the running around, I am still not a designer. It was also clear to me from looking at design sites that I don’t have access to the resources that designers do.

IS THERE ANYTHING I WOULD DO
DIFFERENTLY?
I would have consulted my designer ‘way’ earlier in the renovation process instead of waiting until it was time to ‘decorate’. For stage two, I am working with our designer before we even start. Peter S
